PAST SIMPLE TENCE

                                                        Past simple tense

Past perfect Tense is used to express two types of actions wich ocurred or completed in the past.It is usually used to express an action wich occurred a long time ago in past.It gives a sence of completion of an activity in past.

Example: she had sent me her picture an year ago 

It may also be used to state an action that occurred in the recent past,but if it is intentded to coveny a sence of completion of the action with reference to other activities taken place after the same action .

Example: the patient had died before the doctor came 

Structure of sentence :

 Main verb : past participle(3rd form of the verb)
auxiliary verbs :had

positive sentences

  • Subject+auxiliary verb +Main verb +object

                 PREPOSITIONS AND CONJUNCTIONS A  preposition  is a word used to express some relation of different things or thoughts to each other, and is generally placed before a noun or a pronoun: as,  "The paper lies before me on the desk." In that sentence,  before  is the preposition,  me  is the  governed term  of a preposition, "before me" is a  prepositional phrase , and the verb  lies  is the  prior term  of a preposition. "On the desk" is the other prepositional phrase, and  lies  is its prior term. To a preposition, the prior term may be a noun, an adjective, a pronoun, a verb, a participle, or an adverb; and the governed term may be a noun, a pronoun, a pronominal adjective, an infinitive verb, or a participle. PRONOUNS In grammar, a pronoun is defined as a word or phrase that may be substituted for a  noun  or noun phrase, which once replaced, is known as the pronoun’s antecedent. How is this possible? In a nutshell, it’s because pronouns can do everything that nouns can do. A pronoun can act as a subject, direct object, indirect object, object of the  preposition , and more. Without pronouns, we’d have to keep on repeating nouns, and that would make our speech and writing repetitive, not to mention cumbersome. Most pronouns are very short words. Examples include: He She They It We Who As mentioned, pronouns are usually used to replace nouns, however they can also stand in for certain  adverbs ,  adjectives , and other pronouns. Anytime you want to talk about a person, animal, place or thing, you can use pronouns to make your speech or writing flow better.
